They are now seeking a highly organised Document Controller to manage and oversee all documentation and permit-to-work processes on a major pharmaceutical project in Stevenage for one of the most recognisable names in the industry. This is a permanent, full-time role based in the office 5 days per week, offering excellent career stability on a secured 3-year programme of work.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, control, and maintain all project documentation in line with stringent industry and client standards
Process and issue multiple permits-to-work (PTWs) daily for a complex live site
Ensure all documentation meets strict pharmaceutical compliance requirements
Maintain accurate records and audit trails in both electronic and physical formats
Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow
Prepare, update, and issue registers, reports, and compliance packs
Collaborate with client-side teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-documented work environment
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience as a Document Controller in a construction, engineering, or pharmaceutical environment
Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and documentation workflows
Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Confident using document control systems such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, or SharePoint
Proficient in MS Office with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills for liaising across multiple stakeholders
