They are now seeking a highly organised Document Controller to manage and oversee all documentation and permit-to-work processes on a major pharmaceutical project in Stevenage for one of the most recognisable names in the industry. This is a permanent, full-time role based in the office 5 days per week, offering excellent career stability on a secured 3-year programme of work.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, control, and maintain all project documentation in line with stringent industry and client standards
  • Process and issue multiple permits-to-work (PTWs) daily for a complex live site
  • Ensure all documentation meets strict pharmaceutical compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails in both electronic and physical formats
  • Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow
  • Prepare, update, and issue registers, reports, and compliance packs
  • Collaborate with client-side teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and well-documented work environment

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in a construction, engineering, or pharmaceutical environment
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and documentation workflows
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Confident using document control systems such as Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint, or SharePoint
  • Proficient in MS Office with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising across multiple stakeholders
